| “SUGAR NATION” The Hidden Truth Behind America's Deadliest Habit And The Simple Way To Beat It This book is an important call to action in the fight against Diabetes, which is rapidly becoming America's No. 1 health crisis.
“Sugar Nation” exposes the underlying causes of the diabetes epidemic and delivers simple solutions to stop it. Question being, will we listen? Occasionally a book is published that should be required reading for every man, woman and child. “Sugar Nation” by Jeff O’Connell (Hyperion, 2011) not only achieves that distinction, but should also be added to medical school curricula around the country.

We find ourselves right smack dab in the middle of a digital revolution. From The Walkman to the iPod. From Console TV's to LED Flatscreens. From the Altair 8800 (Google It) to the iPad, technology has forever changed our way of life. I sit back, with a bitter grin, thinking about of all the times that I had to haul my butt over to the library to research class projects. While my son complains about having to type in a few key stokes to complete his homework assignments, because it's taking time from his XBox360 Kinect!?! At this rapid pace of change, I can only imagine the tech filled lives that my grandchildren will someday enjoy. Texts, Tweets, Gchats, Facebook Pokes... We now have endless ways to use technology to stay in touch with lovers and vet prospective dates. But is this very same technology bringing us closer or making us that much more distracted? Hey, in this high-tech age, who's not guilty of playing with your favorite gadget almost as much as you play with your partner? To discern just how couples are handling the invasion of gizmos and gadgets in their bedroom, Men's Fitness conducted a poll of more than 1,200 Men and Women, asking them about sex in the digital age.

I find myself chuckling every time I hear the intro of song 'Feel Love' by Sean Garrett, reminiscing on how things once were in my life, many moons ago. Through life's changes, I've never really understood the obsession with holidays like Valentine's Day. Yes, I participate in the festivities to make the boss lady feel special and maybe to make her friends feel a bit jealous? But, I found myself curious as to what other guys around the country were feeling about this Hallmark Holiday. Therefore, in my research, ladies out there may find themselves surprised as to what many their men may feel about this day...
